Detective Corporal Baba Amando Ibrahim, stationed at the Tuna Police Station in the Savannah Region, has been promptly interdicted by the Ghana Police Service on grounds of professional misconduct.
The officer’s interdiction came after a viral video surfaced showing him assaulting a civilian.
The Police are taking action to conduct a thorough investigation into his conduct, as required by the Police Service Regulations.
In a short explanation, the Police Service mentioned that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has personally contacted the victim’s family to reassure them of the Service’s assistance.
Collaboration has been requested by the IGP to address the issue appropriately between the Savannah Regional Police Commander and the family.
