GHANA RECEIVES 4,000 RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TEST KITS FROM WHO TO SUPPORT IT’S RESPONSE TO DENGUE FEVER

The World Health Organization (WHO) has supported Ghana’s response to the dengue fever outbreak by providing 4,000 (rapid diagnostic test) kits.

This aid aims to help Ghana identify more instances of dengue fever.

Dengue fever has been detected in eight regions so far, but the Ghana Health Service says there has been no increase in cases.

Director of Public Health for the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Franklyn Asiedu-Bekoe, stated that there have been no new cases in the last two weeks, indicating that the threat level is currently low.
