Joshua Alabi, who served as the Campaign Manager for John Dramani Mahama during the general elections on December 7, has characterized the significant victory of his candidate and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a crucial decision that resonates with the hopes and aspirations of the Ghanaian populace.
Alabi underscored that the choice made by the voters demonstrates their trust in Mahama’s leadership and his vision for guiding Ghana towards sustainable development and prosperity.
In a discussion , Joshua Alabi pointed out the attributes that render President-elect John Dramani Mahama particularly qualified to lead Ghana during this pivotal time.
He noted that Mahama possesses a distinct sense of direction and a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Ghana.
Alabi contended that Mahama’s prior experience as president, along with his time away from office, has provided him with a unique and valuable perspective.
“Mahama is highly focused and has a clear vision of his objectives. He has experienced both governance and absence from it, which has allowed him to conduct a thorough evaluation of his past performance as well as an assessment of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s actions, enabling him to clearly define his future plans.
“I envision a leader who will surpass his previous performance, and he is expected to do so. I anticipate that he will implement initiatives that will be embraced by the populace. While he may not be able to resolve every issue, establishing a solid foundation and engaging the people in the process will foster their understanding and support for his direction.”
The triumph of John Dramani Mahama was unequivocal, as he secured 6,328,397 votes, which constituted 56.55 percent of the valid ballots cast. This significant lead positioned him well ahead of his nearest rival, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP, who obtained 4,657,304 votes, accounting for 41.61 percent.
Joshua Alabi articulated his conviction that this result highlights the populace’s desire for inclusive and transformative governance.
He asserted that Mahama’s return to office is not simply a political resurgence but a reaffirmation of his dedication to tackling the urgent challenges confronting the nation.
