Yusif Sulemana, the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, has urged the youth and residents of the area to maintain composure and avoid any forms of unrest in his name.
This appeal follows reports indicating that some young individuals in Bole-Bamboi allegedly set fire to car tyres at the residence of President John Dramani Mahama’s father, in protest against the MP’s exclusion from the President’s ministerial nominations.
In a statement released on Tuesday, January 21, Sulemana reiterated his steadfast loyalty and support for President Mahama, expressing his trust in the former President’s judgment and leadership capabilities. He encouraged his constituents to back Mahama’s “reset agenda” and to prioritize unity and development.
The MP assured the residents that their concerns would be taken into account and emphasized his dedication to representing their interests, irrespective of the position he holds.
“I respectfully request the youth and people of Bole-Bamboi to stay calm and avoid any form of agitation in my name,” Sulemana remarked. “As a loyal and devoted supporter of H.E. John Dramani Mahama and a strong believer in his wisdom and experience, I fully endorse his decisions.”
He further implored the community to rally behind Mahama in his initiatives, warning against taking the law into their own hands or engaging in actions that could bring disrepute to the constituency.
“Please refrain from taking the law into your own hands or participating in actions that could lead to embarrassment for us all,” he concluded.
