President John Dramani Mahama is set to engage in bilateral discussions with President Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko in Belarus today.
This event will occur at the Presidential Palace in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus, and will precede a high-level bilateral meeting involving officials from both nations. Following this engagement, four memoranda of understanding are scheduled to be signed.
The President, who is concluding a five-day official visit to Belarus at the invitation of President Lukashenko, will later address a Ghana-Belarus business forum at the Presidential Hotel this afternoon.
Key participants from Ghana include representatives from the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), along with a delegation of private sector stakeholders.
President Mahama’s visit aims to explore new opportunities in economic, agricultural, and technical cooperation. Over the weekend, he toured one of the largest agro-processing facilities in the country, Savushkin Product (Joint Stock Company).
Additionally, the President visited the Belagro Agricultural Exhibition, where he toured various farming and mechanization equipment, as well as food processing technologies, among other exhibits.
Accompanying the President are Advisor and Special Aide Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Minister for Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for Food and Agriculture Eric Opoku, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Stan Xoese Dogbe, and Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Shamima Muslim.
