The Madina Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service has initiated an investigation into a shooting incident involving former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, which took place in Kwabenya, located in the Greater Accra Region.

Preliminary reports from the police indicate that the incident occurred on Sunday, June 21, 2026, when the former MP suffered a gunshot wound to her left ear while visiting her late father’s home in Kwabenya.
She subsequently reported the incident to the Kwabenya Police and presented a vehicle with the registration number GN 3482-24, which displayed evident bullet damage.
Authorities have stated that she has been provided with a Medical Report Form and is currently receiving medical care.
The vehicle has been secured for forensic analysis, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident and to identify all individuals involved in the shooting.
Officials have promised that additional updates will be shared as the investigation advances.
