Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi has officially been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).
Previously, he held the position of Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) for Obuasi during the tenure of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
Boadi’s recent appointment follows a successful nomination by President John Dramani Mahama and a significant vote by the Assembly Members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, where he received 55 out of 56 votes cast.
In light of his confirmation, Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene encouraged the new Mayor of Kumasi to focus on alleviating congestion in the city, enhancing sanitation, and tackling critical issues at the Kejetia Market.
He emphasized that these challenges hinder the development of the Kumasi Metropolis and assured that the Regional Coordinating Council would work in partnership with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to resolve the concerns faced by residents.
