The government, via the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP), has settled the 31 days of arrears owed to caterers participating in the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) for the First Term of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The School Feeding Programme Secretariat expressed gratitude to the government for the prompt disbursement of funds to clear the outstanding debts owed to the caterers.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, April 9, by the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Hajia Fati Forgor, appreciation was also extended to donor partners for their ongoing support and collaboration with the government in maintaining the programme.
Under the oversight of the MoGCSP, the School Feeding Secretariat has initiated a restructuring of the Programme to honor the Government’s pledge to decentralize its operations, enhance the quality of food provided, and ensure timely payments to caterers.
