Ghana has reported 34 additional cases of Mpox, raising the total confirmed infections to 79, as stated by health authorities.
Officials from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) indicate that four patients are currently hospitalized and under close monitoring. In response, efforts for contact tracing have been intensified to curb the spread of the disease.
The recent increase in cases has raised concerns among the public. Nevertheless, health authorities have taken steps to reassure citizens that the situation is under control and that there is no need for alarm.
In light of the outbreak, the GHS encourages the public to implement preventive measures, which include practicing good personal hygiene, avoiding close contact with individuals showing symptoms, particularly those with unexplained rashes, and seeking immediate medical attention if symptoms arise.
