The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has reassured its customers that power will be restored following outages experienced in various areas of Accra on Tuesday, March 25, due to a severe rainstorm.
ECG explained that the interruptions in electricity supply were a result of the damage inflicted by the extreme weather conditions.
In a statement released on March 26, ECG communicated to the public regarding the outages and assured those affected that efforts were being made to restore power as swiftly as possible.
The state-owned power distributor highlighted that the storm had a considerable impact on parts of its network, resulting in electrical faults and service interruptions.
“The Electricity Company of Ghana would like to inform our valued customers that the heavy rainstorm that affected parts of Accra and surrounding areas yesterday evening (25th March 2025) has led to some outages within our network,” ECG stated.
The announcement further indicated that a team of engineers had been dispatched to evaluate the damage and perform the necessary repairs.
