Obuasi base club , Ashanti Gold , picked a goalless draw against Burkinabe side Salitas , over the weekend in the CAF Confederations cup. In an interview with assistant coach of the miners , Thomas Duah , on vision 1 Sports show , he stressed on the fact that football in the continent has changed.
He said , ” Gone were the days when playing at home , you can be assured of a home victory. CAF is very strict this time around so things are easy because you can not be assured of a home victory anymore as it used to be. When you play good football at home , things will look easier when you play away.
That’s I believe we will qualify 100 percent. “
During the weekend , Ashanti Gold locked horns with Salitas in the preliminary stage of the CAF Confederations cup which they drew with the Burkinabe side. In an interview with vision 1 sports , assistant coach of Ashanti Gold , Thomas Duah , believes that the miners are confident to qualify to the next stage , though it will not come on a silver platter. He said , ” We just began our campaign but whatever happens , we will surely qualify. Things are not easy for everyone in football but we will qualify one hundred percent. “
