I want to be Ghana’s Finance Minister who lowered costs, made jobs – Ato Forson

The Minister-Designate for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has articulated his primary objectives pending his confirmation.

During his examination by the Appointments Committee of Parliament on January 13, Dr. Forson conveyed his desire to be recognized as a minister who effectively lowered the costs of goods and services while ensuring economic stability.

He also sought spiritual guidance in his endeavors, which encompass revitalizing the economy and generating employment opportunities.

“I aspire to be remembered as the individual who contributed to reducing prices, stabilizing the economy, and creating jobs. This is my prayer to God for assistance in achieving these goals.”

“Regarding employment, I have stated that my role as the finance minister is to generate the necessary revenue and allocate it, in collaboration with the cabinet, to sectors that will foster job creation. We are committed to this approach. These are my priorities as a minister, and we will strive to accomplish them in the shortest timeframe possible.”
