President John Dramani Mahama has committed to improving the welfare and working conditions of both active military personnel and civilian employees within the armed forces.
During the graduation ceremony for officer cadets at the Ghana Military Academy on Friday, April 11, the President highlighted his administration’s dedication to ensuring that the sacrifices made by service members are acknowledged with appropriate and timely rewards.
“Esteemed military personnel and civilian staff, I am resolute in my efforts to systematically enhance your service conditions. GEHOC will play a crucial role in providing sustainable funding for the Ghana Armed Forces. Your sacrifices merit recognition.
“For our retired personnel, who have given so much to our nation, we will guarantee that your retirement benefits are disbursed without delay,” President Mahama affirmed.
The President recognized the essential contribution of the armed forces in maintaining national stability and fostering development.
He also reassured attendees that the government is actively engaged in providing the necessary resources to support the institution in fulfilling its professional and operational requirements.
The ceremony was attended by senior military officials, government representatives, foreign diplomats, and the families of the graduating cadets.
