President John Dramani Mahama has formally appointed Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe as Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
The commissioning event, held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, signifies the official designation of Madam Baffoe to advocate for Ghana’s interests in Spain, thereby enhancing diplomatic ties between the two nations.
In her role as Ambassador-designate, Baffoe will be tasked with promoting bilateral collaboration, encouraging trade and investment, and furthering Ghana’s foreign policy goals in Spain.
Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe is an accomplished Ghanaian actress, model, filmmaker, and public figure with a career that spans nearly forty years.
She gained public recognition in the late 1980s and early 1990s through her modeling career, notably representing Ghana at the Miss Model of the World pageant in 1990, where she was awarded the title of Miss Model of Africa.
She later transitioned into acting, making her debut in the stage production Theatre Mirrors and subsequently appearing in films such as Out of Sight, Babina, Trinity, and Sala, among over fifty productions.
Her acting prowess has garnered her numerous accolades, including a Golden Actress Award at the Golden Movie Awards for her performance in Sala.
In addition to her entertainment career, Sinare is a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, youth development, and education, utilizing her public platform to engage in social issues.
