Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded Ghana’s dedication to democratic principles and inclusive development, referring to the nation as a “beacon of inspiration for the entire African continent.”
During his official visit to Ghana’s Parliament, Prime Minister Modi praised the country’s resilience, leadership, and democratic maturity.
“When we observe Ghana, we perceive a nation that radiates courage, transcends its history, and transforms every obstacle into creativity and elegance. Your dedication to democratic values and inclusive advancement indeed positions Ghana as a beacon of inspiration for the entire African continent,” he stated.
His comments were met with applause from the Members of Parliament and dignitaries in attendance.
The Indian leader’s visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties between Ghana and India, emphasizing trade, technology, education, and cultural exchange.
Before addressing Parliament, PM Modi paid a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, where he laid a wreath on the tomb of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and his spouse, Fathia Nkrumah.
