Ghana and Canada are enhancing their collaboration in various sectors, including trade, investment, innovation, digital transformation, energy, education, and skills development.
This information was disclosed by Dr. John Jinapor, the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, who represented the Government of Ghana during the celebration of the 159th Anniversary of the Canadian Confederation.
At the event, he extended warm greetings from H.E. President John Dramani Mahama to the Government and citizens of Canada.
Dr. Jinapor emphasized that Ghana is dedicated to fortifying partnerships that foster opportunities and shared prosperity for its people.
The event served as a significant reminder of the lasting friendship between Ghana and Canada, which has been established over nearly seventy years based on shared values of democracy, peace, mutual respect, and cooperation, he remarked.
“We anticipate further collaboration in trade, investment, innovation, digital transformation, energy, education, and skills development. Ghana is committed to enhancing partnerships that generate opportunities and shared prosperity for our citizens.
“Congratulations to the Government and people of Canada on this significant national milestone. Here’s to an even stronger Ghana–Canada partnership as we approach 70 years of diplomatic relations,” he emphasized.
