Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister for Finance, has officially inaugurated a nine-member board for the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), assigning them the crucial task of enhancing revenue generation and maintaining integrity.
The board will be led by Hon. George Ricketts Hagan, a former Deputy Finance Minister and current Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South.
The members include:

In his address to the newly formed board, Dr. Forson highlighted the essential function of the GRA in fostering national development, emphasizing that government initiatives are significantly reliant on the revenue it produces.
He urged the board to operate with commitment and integrity and called for effective actions to address smuggling issues at the nation’s borders.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of focusing on internal resources to significantly increase domestic revenue, which is vital for supporting government spending.
