The presiding Judge in the case concerning the alleged theft by Kwabena Adu-Boahen, the former head of the National Signals Bureau, will make a determination today, May 2, regarding the necessity of remanding him.
This decision follows the arguments presented by Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine, who is advocating for the remand of the former official.
On April 30, 2025, the Attorney General disclosed in court that there is intelligence suggesting that Kwabena Adu-Boahen may attempt to interfere with a crucial witness for the Prosecution.
In response, the defense attorney, Samuel Atta Akyea, expressed skepticism about the reliability of this intelligence and questioned his client’s capacity to engage in such conduct.
Consequently, the Judge postponed the ruling, indicating that he will review evidence in-camera prior to making a decision.
Additionally, Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine mentioned that investigations are ongoing at Ghana Water Limited concerning Kwabena Adu-Boahen.
