Widows in Restoration Hour Assemblies of God Church and communities such as Jei Krodua, Osae Krodua, Adawukwa, Papaase in the Awutu Senya West District have received cash donations and hampers containing modest groceries to support them in celebrating Christmas.
The hampers which had bags of rice, tin tomatoes, sardines, tin fishes, cooking oils, spaghetti, sanitizers were provided by CEO of Elshaddai group of companies, Mr. Kalala Nyamekye Eghan as he has done over the years. The widows numbering 50 could not hide their excitement when they were handed each an envelope containing cash and hamper.
Madam Georgina Amoah, a 68-year-old woman, was excited at the Christmas gifts and had this to say. “I never thought a day like this will come for me to receive such benevolence from a kind man. May God bless Mr. Kalala with good health and long life to be doing this for us every year. I have been thinking about how i was going to celebrate this Christmas with nothing at home, now thank God i can smile.” she said.
Addressing the congregants, the CEO of Elshaddai Group of Companies, Mr. Kalala Nyamekye Eghan said he was so excited to share his joy of life with widows because life is just a privilege and grace. He admonished everyone present to live a life of forgiveness and show love for another.
Rev. Daniel Kobina Abbam, the head pastor was very appreciative, lauded the kind gesture and thanked Mr. Kalala Nyamekye Eghan for remembering widows during this period of love. He prayed and supplicated for God’s divine blessings over his business and protection over his life and family.
