The Central East Regional Police Command is on a manhunt for four armed robbers who targeted and robbed the Star Oil filling station at Gomoa Dominase Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The robbery occurred at 7:30 p.m., while Ali Mohammed, a station attendant, was servicing a client.
According to police sources, four men wearing face masks, two armed with pump-action guns and two with knives, stormed the station and began firing live bullets.
The robbers stole GHC 3,392 before departing the scene.
The incident was filmed on the station’s CCTV camera.
Although police officers were called to the area, the robbers had fled before they arrived.
Crime scene investigators from the Central East Regional Police Command have already visited the scene and launched an investigation.
There have been no arrests made yet.
According to police sources, this is the second robbery at the filling station.
