PASTOR URGES GHANAIANS TO PRAY FOR PEACEFUL ELECTIONS

The founder and leader of True Christ Followers Church at Dome – Afghanistan in the Dome Kwabenya constituency, Apostle Joshua Lamtey Mills aka Professor has called on Ghanaians to pray for a peaceful poll.

As Ghana prepares feverishly for the general elections in December, the common message out there is how Ghanaians could once again conduct this exercise in a responsible manner and even more peaceful than they have previously done.

He also advised them to fervently pray for the country’s politicians to enable them to provide total leadership for Ghanaians.

He also cautioned religious leaders against hate speeches that could potentially incite violence during the upcoming 2024 general elections in Ghana.

Last year, Ghana lost its position on the Global Peace Index as the most peaceful country in West Africa to Sierra Leone and dropped from its second position in Africa to fourth.

This has fueled numerous calls by the clergy and relevant stakeholders for everyone to uphold peace and work tirelessly to prevent electoral violence.

Apostle Joshua Lamtey Mills made the call when he donated assorted items worth millions of Ghanaian cedes to widows, aged, and the less privileged in and around his church.

The items donated include pieces of cloths, rice and oil at an undisclosed amount of cedis shared to the aged in the church.

The donation took place over the weekend at the True Christ Followers Church.

According to the founder, Apostle Joshua Lamtey Mills aka Professor, the purpose of his annual donation seeks to aid widows and less privileged.

He also encouraged others to also make donations to the less privileged; and also prayed to God to bless her to be able to do more for society.

Some widow and aged who benefited commended the Apostle of God for taking up such responsibility. They reiterated the need for Christians to emulate such act and further called on other members of society to assist the less privileged in society.
