The traditional leaders of Gomoa Abora in the Gomoa Akyapim traditional area of the central region has cautioned the youth in the country not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to foment trouble during the 2024 General elections.
The traditional authorities in their quest to support the violence free election and Peace Campaign initiative towards the 2024 general elections said that it’s their prayer “the youth will be smart enough to say no to violence.”
The Queen Mother of Gomoa Abora, Nana Ama Ankoa II advised the youth not to put the country in an uncomfortable situation and chaos by allowing politicians to buy their conscience only to destroy their future.
In her media engagement today, the Queen Mother admonished the youth to serve as citizens and uphold the peace and sovereignty of the land.
The outstanding Queen Mother also urged the government to continue to invest in the youth, which forms the bulge of Ghana’s population.
She noted the government’s education policies have increased access to education but added that investment in education and skills acquisition would not only provide the country with a quality workforce but also increase people’s knowledge to plan the families and reduce the high dependency ratio.
