Residents, Landlords Association and several surrounding communities at Agbogba in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have called on the government to provide a police station for them.
The Residents and Landlords Association have also expressed disappointment in the previous Governments, most especially, the current NPP Government, the MP, Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo and their MCE, Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann over what they claim to be a total developmental neglect in the area.
Being one of the voting capitals of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra region, residents expect to be given a fair share of the national cake in terms of development.
Not a single road in the area has been tarred.
As part of the efforts to address the problem, the communities together with Landlords and Residents Association in the area have begun soliciting for funds to put up a police station to house police operations in the area as part of their corporate and social responsibilities to the community.
The project when completed is expected to serve man communities including part of La-Nkwantanang Madina and other Neighboring Municipalities.
Addressing the media today, The Unit committee chairman, Hon. Israel kofitse Ablode Agbemazi and executives from the residents and landlord’s Association appealed to philanthropists to help them put up a police station to curb robbery and criminal activities in the area.
