Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North Betty Krosby Mensah and Slamm Foundation have trained over 60 youth successfully in IT in the Eastern Region.
The training session which started on Monday, October 4, and ended on Friday, October 8th saw youth in the area learning skills in Graphic Designing, Fundamental in ICT and Desktop Solutions, and Phone Fixing.
At the graduation ceremony which was held on Saturday 9th October 2021, each participant received a certificate in ICT while three Best Students were given laptops by the MP.
Betty Krosby Mensah tasked them to be of good character and also make proper use of what they have learnt in order to impart same knowledge to others.
On his part, the chairman of the occasion who is the District Director of Education Solomon Azubila said training of this kind is needed frequently to equip the youth.
The participants expressed appreciation to the MP for the kind gesture adding that the workshop has been useful.
“What I intend to do is that after completing my university I should be able to start my project work and do the necessary editing myself without going to any ICT expert, now I can do everything on my own.
“…We went deep into the computer, like how to repair/replace it, how to go into the system and do some necessary settings, in fact, I didn’t know how to do the troubleshooting so I see this as a great opportunity and I can start my own business’’ some of them told Agoo news.
