The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has formally declared the initiation of the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
As per a notice released from the Office of the Speaker in Accra on Monday, May 4, 2026, the session is scheduled to commence on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Parliament House, Accra.
This announcement was made in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
Speaker Bagbin emphasized that the notice acts as official communication to Members of Parliament and pertinent stakeholders in anticipation of the resumption of sittings.
The upcoming meeting is anticipated to enable Parliament to proceed with discussions on national legislative matters and other issues of public significance.
