Parliament is scheduled to begin the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, after the Christmas recess that concluded the First Session in December 2025.
In preparation for the resumption, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business have engaged with Ministers of State to review and synchronize legislative priorities for the upcoming session.
During the sitting, several bills, statements addressing significant national issues, and inquiries directed at Ministers are anticipated to be presented before the House.
Among the prominent issues slated for discussion are matters concerning illegal mining, as well as the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill—often referred to as the Anti-LGBT Bill—which is expected to provoke vigorous debate within Parliament.
