Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has urged his team to unite in their efforts to guide Ghana towards achieving economic stability.
This appeal was made during his inaugural meeting with the senior management of the Ministry of Finance on Thursday, January 23, 2024, following his confirmation by Parliament and subsequent swearing-in by President John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Ato Forson was joined at the meeting by Fifi Kwetey, a former Deputy Minister of Finance.
In expressing his enthusiasm for his new position, the Minister characterized his return to the Ministry as a significant honor and a chance to serve the citizens of Ghana.
“We are here to collaborate in improving the circumstances of the Ghanaian people; we will remain acutely aware of their needs,” he remarked.
In outlining his priorities, Dr. Ato Forson presented a focused agenda aimed at enhancing the quality of life for Ghanaians through job creation, responsible fiscal management, stabilization of the exchange rate, and the reduction of inflation.
He emphasized that his dedication to these objectives reflects a committed strategy to tackle the economic challenges confronting the nation.
