President John Dramani Mahama has refuted allegations regarding his ownership of Chain Homes, a leading real estate development in Ghana, labeling the claims as baseless.
During a community event held in the estate on Monday, December 22, 2025, President Mahama shared the story of how he and his family came to live in the area.
“As we searched for a rental property, we faced challenges, and eventually, we were informed that there was availability at Chain Homes. There’s Chain Homes, so we were advised to explore that option. A house had been constructed in the corner and was made available for rent by Chain Homes. That’s how we arrived in this community,” he detailed.
Addressing the ongoing speculation regarding his ownership of the estate, President Mahama responded with a touch of irony:
“Indeed, they think the estate is mine. Therefore, all of you who purchased these homes did so unlawfully, as you should have compensated me,” he remarked.
He further stated, “If you made your payments to Addai and Co., kindly request a refund and ensure my payment is returned.”
The President’s remarks were intended to dispel rumors and clarify that his residence in the estate does not imply ownership, as he underscored that the narrative surrounding the claims was completely untrue.
