The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has reiterated her administration’s dedication to fostering a transparent and conducive environment for British investments that are in line with the region’s development priorities.
This assurance came after a high-level courtesy visit from the British High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Christian Rogg, at the Greater Accra Regional Co-ordinating Council, where the discussions were focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation at the regional level.
In a statement following the meeting, the Minister characterized the engagement as a testament to the lasting partnership between Ghana and the United Kingdom, highlighting that both parties examined practical methods to utilize the relationship to expedite growth and development within the Greater Accra Region.
According to her, the discussions emphasized urban resilience and economic diversification, particularly focusing on the enhancement of local governance systems and tackling waste management issues through UK-supported technical expertise.
The conversations also addressed youth entrepreneurship, with both sides exploring collaborative frameworks to foster innovation and job creation among the youth in Accra as part of wider economic diversification initiatives.
