Oseadieyo Kwame Effah on ‘The Ekasen Show’ on Accra based TV station Light Television has appealed to government to rather appoint MMDCEs and let them start working to avoid misunderstandings that emanate from voting.
Kwame Effah believes appointing Metropolitan,Municipal and District Chief Executives ( MMDCEs ) like other positions will save us from all this MMDCEs poll sagas since Majority of the voters are following their interest.
“There should be an amendment of the constitution to enable the President to appoint the MMDCE’S into office just as it’s done with the ministers, deputies, Board chairman, chief executives etc without voting for confirmation.” He said
He also Suggest that , if we can’t amend the voting then we should make the voting Open so that everyone can vote not always Assembly members.
“It should be opened to all not limiting it to only the Assembly Members” He Added.
Oseadieyo Kwame Effah shared this insight following the recent brouhaha in Ashanti Region between the disappointed MMDCE and the ungrateful Assembly Members.
