It is emerging that former deputy roads minister Anthony Karbo and NPP ‘s die hard fan Salam Mustapha have allegedly bagged over 1.2 million Ghana cedis as organizers of an anticipated anniversary celebration of Dr.Mawumudu Bawumiah.
The move is supposedly earmarked to be a counter publicity stunt to the activities organized over the weekend by well wishes and supporters of John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen who turned 66 years on Sunday October 3 2021. The man tipped to take up the mantle as the NPP’s standard bearer in the 2024 elections received the surprise of his life when scores of Market women in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, staged a public event to celebrate the Trade Minister days after President Akufo-Addo also touted his hardworking attitude before the Asante Mornarch Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
Reports indicate that Alan Cash as he affectionately called was also Celebrated in the United Kingdom where the party’s diaspora lauded his tireless effort at delivering on Government’s agenda to industrialize Ghana. Social media was not left out of the campaign to celebrated Alan as pictures were widely circulated of a lady holding a placard which describes the presidential hopeful as the true Economist of Ghana.
Deep throat sources suggest that supporters of Vice President Dr. Bawmiah fear that show solidarity for Alan on his birthday could further dwindle the fortunes of the vice president towards realizing his ambition of becoming the next flagbearer of the NPP in 2024.In a bid to create an artificial fan base for the disheartened Bawumiah faction, reports suggest that former deputy roads minister Anthony Karbo is leading the charge to buy cheerleaders for the vice president on his birthday. Budget estimates are pegged at about 1.2 billion Cedis for the celebration of Dr. Bawumiah’s birthday,Haruna Nuako alleged.
