The Ministry of the Interior has officially designated Thursday, May 1, 2025, as a public holiday in honor of May Day, also referred to as Workers’ Day.
This announcement was made in a statement issued by Minister Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak on Friday, April 25. Citizens are encouraged to observe this day in compliance with national holiday regulations.
The statement emphasized, ‘The public is hereby notified that Thursday, May 1, 2025, which commemorates May Day (Workers’ Day), is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be recognized as such across the nation.’
