In April 2025, the inflation rate decreased to 21.2%, marking its lowest point in eight months, aided by a stronger cedi that has alleviated price pressures related to imports.
This latest statistic indicates a modest improvement from the 22.4% observed in March and signifies the fifth consecutive month of disinflation in 2025.
Consequently, consumer prices experienced a month-on-month decline of 0.8% during the reviewed period.
Both food and non-food inflation rates eased during this time, contributing to the overall downward trend.
Specifically, food inflation decreased to 25.0% in April from 26.5% in March, while non-food inflation fell to 17.9% from 18.7%.
