The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has elevated 17 police officers in acknowledgment of their exceptional professionalism and commitment to their responsibilities.
As stated in a Facebook update by the police on Wednesday, January 28, these officers received promotions due to their significant involvement in the confiscation of 10 wrapped slabs of cocaine valued at approximately GHC 1,032,650.00, along with bags of substances believed to be narcotic drugs in Ho, located in the Volta Region. Additionally, they were instrumental in the recovery of an AK -47 rifle, a pump-action shotgun, and eight live AAA rounds during a routine patrol in Jacobu.
The IGP, along with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), extended their congratulations to the officers on their advancement and praised them for embodying the fundamental values of the Service through discipline, bravery, and professionalism.
IGP Yohuno further encouraged the promoted officers to regard their advancement as an invitation to greater responsibility and urged all personnel to persist in their diligent efforts, assuring them that excellence and integrity are the foundations for recognition and advancement within the Ghana Police Service.
