The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has cautioned the public regarding a deceptive recruitment scheme being disseminated online, particularly via the website GOLERNERSHUB.COM.
This site is misleadingly promoting the launch of a protocol recruitment portal, which has led the GIS to completely distance itself from these assertions.
In a press release dated June 2, 2025, and signed by M. Amoako-Atta, Assistant Commissioner of Immigration and Head of Public Affairs, the GIS clarified that it had not granted permission to any individual, group, or third-party website to carry out recruitment activities or sell protocol forms on its behalf.
The Service highlighted that it has not obtained any governmental approval for recruitment at this moment.
The GIS reassured the public that any authentic recruitment initiative would be officially announced through reliable platforms, including national newspapers and its official communication channels.
“Our Intelligence Section, in conjunction with other state security agencies, is actively pursuing leads to identify, apprehend, and prosecute those responsible for this fraudulent operation,” the statement further noted.
The Service urged the public to ignore any communication or solicitation from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or similar unofficial sources. It cautioned that anyone who interacts with such entities does so at their own peril.
