President John Dramani Mahama has designated Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu as Ghana’s High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This appointment comes in the wake of Baba Jamal’s recall, who opted to run in the Ayawaso East by-election following the passing of the Member of Parliament, Nasser Mahama Toure.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, March 1.
Baba Sadiq, who is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei Central in the upcoming 2024 general election, is anticipated to advocate for Ghana’s interests in Nigeria and to enhance the diplomatic and economic relations between the two nations.
