Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has conveyed his confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s capability to guide the New Patriotic Party back to power.
He asserts that he understands Dr. Bawumia’s mindset, and with the unwavering support of the NPP’s members, the party is poised to regain power.
On Tuesday, February 3, the newly appointed flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, along with his wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia, visited Mr. Akufo-Addo for a courtesy call.
Dr. Bawumia was selected as the NPP Flagbearer on Saturday, January 31.
In a post on Facebook, Mr. Akufo-Addo remarked, “Eighteen years ago, I selected Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as my running mate. We have stood together through four elections.
“I am familiar with his thoughts, his character, his dedication to Ghana, and his strong work ethic. He is devoted to both the party and the nation.
“With the complete backing of our members and the ongoing generosity of our supporters, I am confident that he will lead us back to victory.”]} }}
