Residents of Ejuratia in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region, where Akua Donkor, leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) was born, are grieving after learning about her passing.
Supporters are gathering at the home of the deceased Presidential Candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party to show their support for the family and offer their condolences.

The news of her passing has captured the spotlight, as numerous individuals are reminiscing about the positive changes she made to the community during her tenure as an Assembly Member.
The late Akua Donkor’s daughters, Ama Serwaa Bonsu, along with other residents, are urging the state to provide her mother with a state burial.

They also demanded recognition of her impact in empowering young people, specifically girls.
My mother’s contributions to the development of Ghana have had a profound impact on numerous communities and lives. Whenever I come across politicians, she will always come to mind. Thanks to my mother, Ejuratia now boasts an asphalt road as a result of her progress on various developmental projects.

Within the community of Ejuratia, she acquired a plot of family land spanning 25 acres to build the road. On top of that, she oversaw the construction of a bus station and the renovation of the local school.
She also provided water and energy in Abrade, built a school, and constructed a market in Hemang. Additionally, she built a toilet facility at the police station in Mamponteng.
Seats were provided by her at the Mamponteng court. She achieved numerous milestones for the communities. I am requesting that the state honor her memory with a state burial.
