With only one day remaining until Ghana’s pivotal presidential and parliamentary elections, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is radiating confidence and enthusiasm.
The Middle-Belt Campaign Coordinator for the Vice President and NPP candidate, Hon. Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, has confidently forecasted a strong performance in the middle belt regions, predicting a total of 99 parliamentary seats, which includes 15 newly established constituencies.
During a media briefing in Kumasi, marking the culmination of the NPP’s campaign in the middle belt area, the optimistic Effiduase-Asokore MP highlighted the party’s readiness for a significant victory. “We have established all the necessary frameworks to ensure a decisive win in both the presidential and parliamentary elections,” he asserted.
Hon. Ayew Afriyie elaborated on the party’s strategy, identifying five key factors that contribute to their optimism in the middle belt.
One of these factors is the ambition to capture critical constituencies, such as the Tain Constituency, which is represented by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
“We can confidently declare that following an extensive and thorough campaign across all six regions, the NPP is poised to secure a total of 99 seats in the Ashanti, Eastern, Bono East, Ahafo, Western North, and Eastern Regions,” Hon. Ayew Afriyie predicted.
While acknowledging the difficulties encountered during the campaign, Hon. Ayew Afriyie commended the flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, along with his committed campaign team for their perseverance and diligence.
The MP also projected that the NPP would achieve over 51% of the total votes, emphasizing the party’s strong appeal in the middle belt.
He attributed this anticipated success to the NPP’s “robust and proven policies and programs,” which he contended resonate more effectively with Ghanaians than the opposition’s offerings.
Reassuring voters regarding their safety, Hon. Ayew Afriyie expressed confidence in the security measures implemented for the elections.
We wish to reassure all citizens of Ghana, particularly those voters residing in the six regions of the middle belt zone, that their security is completely guaranteed. They are encouraged to proceed to their polling stations and confidently cast their votes for the NPP and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, free from any fear or intimidation.
