Elrad Amoako, son of Prophet Salifu Amoako, has been taken into custody after being involved in a deadly accident in East Legon.
Appearing before the Juvenile Court in Accra on Friday, November 1, 2024, the court ordered the seizure of his American and Ghanaian passports to prevent any risk of flight.
The unfortunate incident, which took place on October 12 resulted in the loss of two lives, leading to widespread criticism and demands for accountability.
The minor defendant is currently facing serious charges in relation to the accident; however, the exact nature of the charges has not been revealed.
The accused is required to undergo a medical evaluation as ordered by the court, with plans to transport him to the University of Ghana Hospital on Monday for further assessment. This review will evaluate both his physical and mental well-being post-incident.
He was also instructed by the court to attend the next hearing scheduled for November 7, 2024, during which additional information about his role and any forthcoming legal actions will be addressed.
