BASINTALE HAS DECLARED THAT OFFICIALS ENTANGLED IN THE FERTILIZER SMUGGLING SCANDAL WILL FACE IMPRISONMENT

Malik Basintale, the Deputy National Communication Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised a fiery allegation against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). He claims that NPP members are entangled in a clandestine operation, illicitly trafficking fertilizers from the Upper East Region across borders to neighbouring nations such as Burkina Faso and Togo.

Malik Basintale lamented that this shadowy enterprise has cast a dark cloud over the ambitions of local farmers, stifling their endeavours and plunging agricultural productivity into disarray. As a result, the economic woes of farming communities have deepened, turning aspirations into struggles and hope into hardship.

At a vibrant rally in Binduri, nestled in the heart of the Upper East Region, Basintale took the stage to shine a spotlight on what he described as a clandestine web of NPP officials entwined in the illicit trafficking of vital agricultural resources beyond our borders.

He pointed an accusatory finger at Abdulai Abanga, the MP for Binduri and the Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, claiming that he plays a pivotal role in the purported web of intrigue.

Basintale declared with unwavering resolve that if the NDC triumphed in the forthcoming December elections, a storm of justice would descend upon those engaged in the illicit trade. He promised that all who had a hand in the smuggling would not only be unmasked but would also face the full fury of the law, facing prosecution and imprisonment for their transgressions. The message was clear: accountability would reign supreme.

Every last grain of fertilizer meant for their fields has mysteriously vanished, spirited away across the border to Burkina Faso in a daring smuggling operation. I swear by all that is sacred, the moment the NDC steps into power, the jail cells will be bursting at the seams! I swear by all that’s holy, when the NDC steps onto the scene, the bars of justice will clang shut behind them.

“Should we choose not to hold them accountable; the hearts of the Ghanaian people will surely be heavy with discontent?” “If we don’t lock them away, the residents of Binduri will surely descend upon us with their discontent.”
