The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, has stated that the EC will carefully review all nomination forms.
Her statement came after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), submitted nomination forms.
Jean Mensa underscored that there is enough time to remedy any errors found in the forms.
After receiving Dr. Bawumia’s forms, Jean Mensa stated that two teams had been formed to conduct the evaluation process.
Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the tough nature of the Commission’s work and conveyed his best wishes to the Chairperson and her colleagues as they prepare for the 2024 elections.
Dr. Bawumia was joined by his wife Samira Bawumia, his running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and his wife Alma Pokua Adade-Prempeh.
Party executives, including National Chairman Stephen Ntim, General Secretary Justin Koduah Frimpong, Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and other NPP leaders, have also arrived at the EC to show their support and solidarity.
