The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has claimed that more supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are willing to vote for change in the upcoming December elections than even NDC supporters.
According to him, many Ghanaians, including disappointed NPP supporters, are now regretting their decision to back the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, blaming the government’s mismanagement of the country’s resources, which has resulted in widespread economic misery.
Speaking at the Kukurantumi Chiefs’ Palace in the Abuakwa North Constituency, Asiedu Nketiah stated that there is a faction inside the NPP, with many members appearing willing to vote against their own leader.
He also stated that, while the NPP’s activities have brought tremendous harm to the country, not all of its members are to blame.
Asiedu Nketiah added, “They are all blaming the NPP for the country’s current problems.” They also understand that not all members of the NPP are to blame for the problems.
“It is only a few people who have formed mafias, plunging the country into these problems and undermining our democracy.”
