Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has encouraged businesses to proceed with investment initiatives, assuring them that the Government remains committed to preserving Ghana’s economic stabilization achievements.
During discussions with representatives of the Association of Ghana Industries and prominent industrial leaders, Dr Forson said the Government would unveil its comprehensive strategy for economic transformation in the 2027 Budget presentation.
“Proceed with confidence in your investments, as we are dedicated to maintaining these gains. Ghana’s prosperous period is commencing, and our strategic framework will be presented in the 2027 Budget,” he remarked.
The Finance Minister emphasized that the considerable enhancements in macroeconomic conditions would be safeguarded and further developed.
“Consequently, the 2027 Budget will facilitate Ghana’s progression from economic stability toward comprehensive transformation,” he explained.
Dr Forson highlighted that President John Dramani Mahama had previously disclosed intentions to allocate US$10 billion toward priority sectors throughout the subsequent four-year period.
“Our objective is to expand production capacity, enhance value addition, and generate increased employment opportunities within the Ghanaian economy. This necessitates addressing the core structural difficulties confronting our nation,” he stated.

Furthermore, Dr Forson noted that the Government had intentionally decreased borrowing costs and would persist in efforts to reduce them further, thereby facilitating business growth and capital investment.
Dr Forson additionally appealed to the industrial sector to contribute toward strengthening domestic revenue collection mechanisms, thereby diminishing the Government’s dependence on extensive external borrowing.
“We require your collaboration in generating the requisite revenue, enabling the Government to avoid excessive borrowing practices, as occurred during 2022,” he concluded.
