Ghanaian artist and entrepreneur, Okyeame Kwame, has been designated as an Ambassador for the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to aid in the campaign against Hepatitis within the nation.
This appointment is part of the GHS’s initiatives to enhance public awareness and ensure that a greater number of individuals have access to information and support in the battle against Hepatitis.
The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Professor Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, formally presented the appointment to Okyeame Kwame, encouraging him to leverage his influence to promote the campaign and reach a wider audience.
“Today, I officially confer upon you the title of Ghana Health Service Ambassador to lead the campaign against Hepatitis,” he stated.
Professor Akoriyea expressed gratitude to Okyeame Kwame for accepting the position, referring to him as a vital ally in furthering this cause.
“Thank you very much for agreeing to be a champion for this important initiative,” he remarked.
In his capacity as Ambassador, Okyeame Kwame is anticipated to assist in public education efforts regarding Hepatitis and contribute to programs aimed at enhancing awareness of the disease throughout Ghana.
This initiative arises as health officials continue to stress the significance of early detection, prevention, and heightened public understanding in addressing Hepatitis.
