A group of Ghanaians is anticipated to organize a protest on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, demanding the dismissal of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng due to what they characterize as his inability to fulfill his responsibilities.
On Monday, November 24, Apostle Abraham Larbi Lincoln, the Lead Convener of the protest, stated that the group believes President John Dramani Mahama should terminate the appointment of the Special Prosecutor.
He emphasized that the protest, titled “Agro Ne Fom,” seeks to draw attention to what the group perceives as inefficiency within the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
“We will be dressed in red, and we will be there to present our case. If he does not heed our concerns, then we will understand the type of person he is. We are marching directly to the Jubilee House, where we will petition the President,” he remarked.
Apostle Lincoln further mentioned that the group does not harbor animosity towards Mr. Agyebeng but is advocating for either a reform of the office or its complete dissolution, along with the removal of all staff members.
In the meantime, private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has revealed that 15 distinct petitions have been filed requesting the removal of the Special Prosecutor, indicating a growing public discontent.
“As of now, there are 15 petitions aimed at removing Kissi Agyebeng. When was the last occasion you heard of other individuals subject to Article 146 proceedings facing 15 petitions against them? This indicates that there is a significant issue,” Mr. Kpebu remarked.
The protest will conclude with the delivery of a formal petition to President Mahama at the Jubilee House.
