Keda (Ghana) Ceramics Company Limited, previously known as Twyford, has contributed GH¢200,000 to the Children’s Support Fund established for the benefit of the children of the victims of the helicopter crash that occurred on August 6.
The Fund, which was inaugurated on August 15, 2025, by President John Dramani Mahama, has thus far garnered over GH¢3 million in donations. Its purpose is to provide long-term care and education for the children affected by this tragedy.
Keda Ghana is part of an expanding list of donors, which includes Ghana Airports Company Limited, Procus GH Limited, GB Foods Ghana, Sunda FM Manufacturing Ltd, Sage Distribution Ltd, Quantum Oil Terminals, Quantum LPG Logistics Ltd, Newgas Cylinder Ltd, and Quantum Terminals PLC, among others.
The company ranks as one of the largest manufacturers of ceramics and sanitary ware in West Africa, operating on a 400-acre site in Shama, Takoradi, with a total investment amounting to USD323 million.
Significantly, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Keda Ghana made a comparable donation to assist the national relief efforts led by the Nana Addo administration.
During the presentation at the Office of the President, Li Wei, Managing Director of Keda Ghana Ceramics, conveyed the company’s condolences.
“We are profoundly saddened by the events of August 6. As a corporate entity, we consider it our social responsibility to aid the welfare of these children and contribute to securing their future.”
The donation was officially received by Deputy Chief of Staff, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, who praised the company’s initiative.
“On behalf of the President, I would like to extend our appreciation to Keda Ghana Ceramics for this timely assistance. Every contribution, regardless of its size, significantly helps ensure that the children of our departed compatriots are not neglected.”
