Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy, Goosie Tanoh, has conveyed his assurance regarding Ghana’s capability to effectively execute the 24-hour economy initiative, asserting that the nation possesses the necessary resources to facilitate significant economic transformation.
During the official launch of the 24-Hour Economy policy on Wednesday, July 2, Mr. Tanoh remarked that the secretariat is open to constructive criticism and suggestions, highlighting that such input is vital for the ongoing enhancement and enduring success of the programme.
“We at the secretariat are optimistic that we will continue to receive constructive criticism and suggestions for further improvement. Criticism is always welcome,” he stated.
Characterizing the 24-hour economy as a “living programme,” he clarified that it is informed by scientific principles and rooted in solid social democratic values, yet adaptable enough to respond strategically to a dynamic environment.
Mr. Tanoh underscored that the initiative is intended to progress through learning and modifications as situations evolve.
“We will acquire numerous lessons throughout this journey and implement various adjustments. This is the sole method by which a programme can transform our society in the short, medium, and long term.
“We can assert with certainty that our President is a genuine advocate for responsible entrepreneurship and national transformation. We, as a nation, we as a people, possess the capability to achieve success,” he remarked.
The 24-Hour Economy policy is designed to generate employment, enhance productivity, and promote inclusive national growth by encouraging continuous operations in essential sectors such as health, manufacturing, transport, and retail.
