As anticipation builds for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, organizers have officially released the prize money breakdown for this year’s event.
Scheduled to run from September 13 to 21, the championships return to the vibrant city that hosted the 2024 Olympic Games—and athletes from around the world are gearing up for a thrilling week of competition.
Among them are eight athletes from Ghana, proudly representing the nation on the global stage. Leading the charge are Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, Ghana’s men’s 100-metre record holder, and Rose Amoaniwaa Yeboah, the national record holder in the women’s high jump.
