The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, called on traditional leaders to keep supporting the Ministry and the government to help maintain peace and stability in the country.
He made this statement during a meeting with a delegation from the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, led by the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu. They visited his office in Accra to discuss concerns such as security and working together.
The Volta Regional Minister expressed his appreciation to the Interior Minister for the opportunity to meet and reaffirmed the region’s commitment to working closely with the Ministry to ensure peace and security in the area, emphasizing the Volta Region’s significance as a vital hub for investors.
The chiefs, represented by the President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of the Anfoega Traditional Area, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, assured Hon. Muntaka of their commitment to ensuring the safety of the country, as peace and security are collective responsibilities.
The Interior Minister expressed his gratitude to the delegation for their visit and their ongoing support in fostering peace and security in the region.
